LA Courts Routinely Reject California Mesothelioma Deposition Limits Law
Despite recommendations from doctors to limit depositions of in extremis mesothelioma plaintiffs, the LA Courts have routinely refused to apply the six hour limit law. We are not advocating that Defendants not be allowed to cross examine plaintiffs. We are simply asking the Courts and the Defense lawyers to follow the law. The law is based on the policy that the Courts should protect civil litigants with a limited lifespan from being deposed to death by defense lawyers, who have an economic incentive to avoid trial settings while the plaintiff is alive.
