International Symposium on Lung-Sparing Therapies for Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma
The International Symposium on Lung-Sparing Therapies for Malignant Pleural Mesothelioma is an annual symposium in Los Angeles hosted by the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and the Pacific Mesothelioma Center. The symposium hosts experts from around the world who present information to medical professionals and patients on the latest innovations in diagnostic techniques, prevention strategies, and lung-sparing treatments for pleural mesothelioma.
The symposium is organized and moderated by Dr. Robert Cameron, thoracic surgeon, surgical oncologist, and Director of the Comprehensive Mesothelioma Program at UCLA. Dr. Cameron has over 35 years of clinical and research expertise in the treatment of pleural mesothelioma and has played a vital role in the development of lung-sparing treatments including the pleurectomy-decortication surgery and numerous adjuvant therapies.
